goals and what i’d like to read in 2019 + Review and update

At the beginning of the year I posted my 2019 goals and book I would like to read.

By the end of 2019 I want to figure out which University I would like to go to. I am at college at a Community College in my small town I am trying to figure out if  I want to stay in state or move away. I’ve thought about doing online as well. To do so though means I need to get a job soon in the new year. Which I’ve been wanting to get a job in the new year anyways since there are some things I want to get and some things I need to get for school. I also want to go for walks and start working out I would like to get in shape and to be healthy again. As for my reading goals I just want to read as much or as little as I want and to enjoy what I’m reading. Last year I set my goodreads reading challenge at 100 books and read 221 books, I’m going to up my reading challenge this year to 250 books. I want to read more fantasy this year adult and young adult. I would also like to read more Stephen King books. I would like to get some of the bigger books on my shelves. I want to get new book shelves and finish series that I have started but haven’t finished yet. I want to be more active here on my blog. I do want to read at least one of my book of the month picks I have a month. It can be ones I already own or ones I get that month. There are a few books I do know I want to buy one of them is Cities of Dead by Alys Arden which is the third book in The Casquette girls series. Another one I want to get is Blanca & Roja I had an earc of if from Netgalley and haven’t been able to get a finished copy and I really enjoyed it and want a finished copy.

Some book I would like to read in 2019:

  • Reread A Court of Thorns and Roses, A Court of Mist and Fury, and A Court of Wings and Ruin
  • Anna Karrena
  • Mistborn triliogy
  • Elantris
  • Blood Promise
  • Spirit Bound
  • Last Sacrifice
  • everyone’s a aliebn when ur a aliebn too
  • Reread Vicious
  • Vengeful
  • The Wicker King
  • The Cruel Prince
  • It by Stephen King
  • Nevernight
  • Godsgrave
  • Clockwork Prince
  • Clockwork Princess
  • Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
  • Bloom/Kevin Panetta
  • The Boneless Mercies
  • White Stag
  • Crown of Midnight
  • Heir of Fire
  • Queen of Shadows
  • Empire of Storms
  • Kingdom of Ash

I didn’t figure out a University I wanted to go to. I actually decided to take a break from school for now. I want to find out if I want to stay in state or move away, which was supposed to be about University but now it’s just in general. I didn’t figure that out about school but I did just in general. I have been working in the second half of the year and I’m actually trying to get a second job right now. I was going to have my goodreads goal to be 250 but I changed it to 125. I haven’t been as active as I would have liked on the blog and instagram but going to to continue to work on it. I wanted to read at least one of my book of the month picks which I didn’t do very much. I didn’t end up rereading the first two books in The Casquette Girls series and I still haven’t read the third book. I wanted to get a physical copy of Blanca & Roja since I loved it so much when I read it last year. Which I did end up getting myself a copy, I also have the paperback edition preordered as well.

The books that I got to on the list are:

everyone’s a aliebn when ur a aliebn too

It by Stephen King

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Bloom by Kevin Panetta

I obviously didn’t get to all the books that I wanted to. I ended up reading a lot of graphic novels and poetry. I would like to get a physical copy of Bloom by Kevin Panetta, it was so cute I loved it so much. I’m so glad I finally got to reading It by Stephen King. I didn’t read many series in 2019 but I’m hoping to read and finish off some series that I own in 2020.

What goals did you have for 2019 and did you meet them?
